I haven`t blogged for ages now.. but suddenly i feel the urge to let my fingers run free and type things that i wanna say but can`t..
maybe cause i don`t know if people will listen..and maybe cause i don`t wanna say them out loud.. but i certainly have to say them,, one way or the other...
I`m at a friend`s house right now.. and his GF just came over.. which is all swell for him of course :P... but now i`m the one who`s torn..
i mean i really am genuinely happy for them when i see them together.. they are both my friends.. and are both wonderful people.. and i truely love them...
but on the other end of the spectrum.. i can`t help but feel bad for myself.. and even a tat jealous of them.. and that`s why i`m so torn.. i feel guilty for feeling jealous.. but then again.. i can`t help but wonder how it would feel like to finally be with someone u care for so strongly..and whom u hope feels the same way about you.. now isn`t that something worth the wonder..and the trouble?... I sure can`t think of something more important.. or more heart warming..or wrenching...

This is a Anti-War demonstration that was organized in DC last weekend.. it was pretty chilly.. but the people still gathered and voiced their concern and support for Iraq.. and their disgust w/ Bush's war and what it`s leading to...

I dedicate these pictures to all those pessimists that keep saying that Iraq is all cooked, and there is nothing we can do to help.. your voice out there is NEVER to be under-estimated... and also to my "American Imperial Conspiracy" friends.. some of the arabs that live in America are better than u are,, hell some americans are better than u are.. at least they are not too scared to voice their opinion and make a stand for it... DOWN WITH THE IDIOT "a.k.a G.W. Bush!!!"!!!

Today ladies and gents is set to be another encounter between the Egyptian squash-forces and the opposition.. leaders of anti government movements such as Kefaya, Ikhwan, The Coalition and some of the impaired parties have called for a rally 2day in El-Tahreer square "Liberation Square... ironic isn't it :P".. the rally will begin at 5 pm.. and from the looks of it, seems it`s gonna be a cold evening.. but no fear.. the men in black -as u seen down there in the previous pic- are expected to spare no effort in keeping the protesters warm.. i`m guessing the number will be as breathtaking as always "100 soldiers for every 1 protester"...

The reason why these people are protesting is simple.. they wanna say no to the constitutional amendments that the governing party wants to pass, and will probably do either way.. the new amendments will revoke any authority for judges over the coming elections.. meaning the judges won`t be there to ensure the process is clean or not, which means it`s goin back 2 the 99.99% results again !!!
Also they intend to pose new and more strict rules one those who want to run for president..which in the end leads to the well-known scenario of "son takes over the family business after daddy"..

God save Egypt.. God bless the viewers at home :P... and certainly .. God save the protesters from what will probably happen 2 them!!!

This photo was taken from an anti-war protest that was here in Egypt against war on Iraq.. a protest that soon turned into an anti-government protest..and then police came into play..and u can see what happened...

This is not a spy.. not a terrorist.. he`s just an average man who thought he should voice his protest peacefully towards what`s happening around him ... OUCH
What`s puzzling me is the ratio... i counted more than 10 soldiers goin for one unarmed man..WOW!!! I sure wouldn`t wanna switch places w/ the poor bastard...

I`ve been watching lately lots of TV shows of people yelling, and reading newspaper columns of people also yelling... all about something that we have known for 40 years now.. "Israel killed hundreds of helpless Egyptian soldiers after they surrendered and became POWs = Prisoners Of War",, now i am 22 and i`ve read this in more than 10 different places thru the years abt this.. and the government surely knows abt this.. after all..they all were here during ..right ??!!

But now because an Israeli documentary comes out saying that they did actually do that, we start barking.. and the laughter hasn`t started yet.. our foreign minister clearly said "we will not cut our relations with Israel based on a tape... we will ask Israeli officials to look into it"... now tell me that`s not hilarious :D:D:D!!!!!
We are gonna wait for the killer to look into it..and maybe admit that he killed helpless people who are supposed 2 be protected by all treaties of modern world, and bear in mind that this Nazi state .. is a state that waged a war on Lebanon for the sake of one soldier... sure they didn`t get him back.. but that just tells us how much they value their own.. but here?? nooooooooo !!!, i guess it has to do with the fact that we`re too many.. i wonder what China would do if it were in our place ...

There was a show on TV last night..and they had a few soldiers from that era who escaped those concentration camps in Sinai..and what they told is just inhuman!!.. i don`t know if Egyptians have human rights.. but i think.. i think.. that Africans do.. we`re not asking for a miracle.. we`re simply asking for the trial of the mass murderer "Benjamin Bin Aliazer".. who was head of one of the many units that were responsible for the Sinai Holocaust.. you can protect the rest of the bastards.. for now... just give us this one..and the rest will follow... remember the Nuremberg trials?? WE WANT JUSTICE... we are descendants of Sam as well.. and we want our right... just like they called it!!!

All i can do is simply pray 2 God; please... let there be value for Egyptian blood that was spilled 40 years ago... and let the corrupt and guilty pay the price... ON BOTH SIDES!!!

i was lately " afew months ago that is :P ", introduced to the underground music scene in Egypt by a friend of mine.. and by underground i mean bands that are extremely talented and original.. but don`t get enough credit, and most people don`t even know they exist... because they sing what they feel.. not what the producers want..and that`s why they don`t have any big time recording deals or anything like that...
of those..the most famous band is a band called "Wust El-Balad",,, which is a huuuuge hit among youngsters here.. they play contemporary music..original lyrics and music, stuff that blows ur mind if ur into it.. they perform at many venues..even the opera house... but sadly they have no luck in the local or even satellite music channels, cause they don`t work w/ any big producers..
Other bands include names like Black Theama - nubian oriented band-, Nagham Masry -contemporary music-,,Kairokee -oriental rock-,and many many others,, but of course..one of my personal favourites.. Eftekasat ; they play original scores of jazz.. they have their own distinct flavour..and they have released their first studio album.. "Mulid Sidi El-Latiny".. a stunning piece of work..
keep up the good work people... and long live free music !!!

A long time has passed since i`ve used my blog.. much has been going on in my life.. and so much is still happening.. i lost a dear friend to a car accident.. and one of my close friends lost his dad to smoking the damn sheesha.. and more over , one of our fellow bloggers has been imprisoned...
Now i`m not writing here to say that i support all the ideas that Karim 3amer wrote in his blog, but as much as i disagreed with him on many of those issues.. i certainly do not agree with what happened to him... our opinions is what defines us as humans... and if we all thought the same way.. then life certainly wouldn`t have moved forward.. what makes me who i am.. is that i have a unique mind.. and i have my own opinions.. they might not be right.. theymight not be solid or full of wisdom.. but they are mine.. and if i can`t hold on 2 them.. then why should i have a mind even??
All i can say is.. good luck to u Karim.. and to all those who were sent to prison because they simply said what they think.. and with the propaganda that is dispatched around.. people who don`t read blogs even, are simply cursing the boy.. they haven`t read jis blogs.. they only read in the government papers that he said bad things abt Islam..and our holy president!!!

that`s what u hear at the circus.. and that`s the only thing i can say 2 describe the lovely lovely Egyptian official statement that was released yesterday...
Our dear presidenet MOMO "a.k.a. Mubarak" said in an interview with Israeli newspaper "Yediot Ahranot", and i`m here quoting what our own "Al-Ahram" newspaper put on its first page : "- Executing Saddam on the day of the feast.. is barbaric and a disgusting.. and his trial was illegal..." !!!
"- WMDs are a danger for the whole area.. and we won`t just stand and watch Iran own them"!!
and on another piece "- Egypt understands why Ethiopian forces entered Somalia..."!!!

Now i get confused.. when this same man comes on our national TV , and keeps talkin abt the independant voice in his head "and i think there are 3 of those or something :P", I mean we didn`t hear any opposition of the trial while it was goin on.. and now all of a sudden it`s illegal ??!!!
And now that Master Bush said that he didn`t want the execution to be "that" way we suddenly think the same ??!!!
And the loveliest part is.. the PM of Israel said they have nuclear weapons.. and we didn`t break a sweat.. but when another country, which is supposed 2 be against Israel "our so called sworn enemy", and standing against the "American Devil" , and is trying to break the locks.. and stand up for themselves.. one way or another.. we suddenly are worried abt the WMD??!! c`mon!!!
Oh and my favourite.. Somalia.. the country that has been plagued by wars and famines decade after decade.. and for once there is a national force.. that wants 2 make things right.. sure they may be fundamentalist Islamists.. but hey.. they didn`t do anyone any wrong.. all they did was bring justice and peace to the land they ruled.. and instead of helping them and opening them to the world.. we support the "foreign" forces.. that went into the country 2 ruin things allover again ??!!.. oh and btw... Ethiopian forces are backed by the USA Almighty ;)

It wasn`t until yesterday.. that i really realised what was going on.. it`s true then.. the Dictator is really going to be executed!!!
Now, don`t get me wrong.. i`m not in support of his execution... i think the man`s faults and crimes deserve several hangings and 2 or 3 gas chambers.. that`s why he should stay in prison.. so that he can see his life passing in front of him again and again... and hear what the people are now saying.. now that they are not scared of him and his minions anymore!!!...

All i`m saying is that it`s about time that he was made to pay... the man killed millions of his own people , aside from the millions of Iranis.. and thousands of Arabs.. when he had his endeavor in Kuwait.. and i am saying what i saw w/ my own eyes here... i was living in Riyadh when the 2nd gulf war started.. and the SOB was throwing rockets at civilian areas in Riyadh!!! A missile fell just a few streets from our house.. and there was a clinic that was damaged...

The irony now is.. that some people are starting 2 say that he was a hero ??!!! just cause it was America that overthrew him does not make him a hero people!!!... i mean sure the war was for oil not justice for the people... but in the end.. the tyrant was given what he deserves.. time in a lowlife cell.. like the millions he put and tortured in his prisons...

To all of u out there who are screaming that he was a legend and a war hero and that " He stood up to the American Imperialist Conspiracy"... i say only one thing... if America is a devil... then Saddam was it`s pointy fork.. and those who don`t believe me.. look at his old picture w/ his buddy Rumsfeld, when America was giving him the WoMD to kill the Iranis... that`s why there were screaming he had them.. they didn`t know that he had used them up.. on his own people !!!

Astonishing what life does to us in this country... we become so depressed that our greatest triumph of the day can easily become winning a metro (subway) seat.. or making fun of someone u saw at the station, or better yet sit beside someone on the train & peep into his mobile w/ out him noticing (like this guy next to me is doing right now, & now his replacement when he left :P), it`s like how low can you go :D...
NB: these two older men can`t stop poking fun and laughing @ this couple sitting in the terminal, neither knows them or anything abt them... could it be they are just hopelessly single maybe :D... oh well.. this is my stop.. and i`m fighting the want 2 hit the guy w/ the back of my hand... God help me :D:D

Happened In Front Of My School !!!

This is some real footage of an accident that happened in front of my college, Faculty Of Engineering - Ain Shams University - Cairo, Egypt , i do not know of course who the hell took it.. but i know for a fact that that yellow dozer had been there for more than 2 years ... and they suddenly decided they wanted to move it from its place... and instead of choosing a holiday or any day that students wouldn`t b everywhere... they chose one of the busiest days of the school year, one i`m greatful i didn`t attend cause i wouldn`t have been able 2 park my car anyway :P..
Anyway.. poor Lanos person.. and hey..if ur out there... what the heck did u do ??!!!!!
